Seramen papyrus – Paris 1

Seramen – sr-imn
Ranke I, pg. 316,26
Provenance: presented by Count Alberto de Luynes in 1862
Early 21st Dynasty

“According to his title, Seramon was chief of the recruits to the domain of Amun and a “prophet” priest of Amun at the beginning of the 21st Dynasty, as well as head of the work on the monuments of Amun. His importance is demonstrated by his possession of three funerary papyri, two of which are in the collection of the Duc de Luynes, and are extremely rich in colour”, source here

For a description of the two papyri see here

NB: I don’t know why these two papyri would belong to the same person. It might be possible, but on the second papyrus with the travelling sun, I don’t come across his name.
