Anonymous papyrus – Zagreb 1

Provenance Koller collection (Generaal Baron Franz Koller (1767–1826))
Collected in Egypt between 1815-1826 (no 605)
Acquired in 1868
Late 21st dynasty or early 22nd Dynasty

The papyrus fragment contains the 10th, 11th, and 12th hours from the Amduat. The text describes renewal of life in the natural cycle of the Sun at the end of the adventures of the joint nocturnal journey of the god Re and a human soul.  The papyrus was mentioned by Niwinski and dated to 21st or 22nd Dynasty. If correct, this may mean that Papyrus Zagreb E-605 preserves one of the earlier versions of the Amduat on papyrus. Source Igor Uranić, Archeological Museum Zagreb (AMZ)
